So, this episode was basically just one thing:

All 5 Seasons of Gossip Girl AGAIN in one episode, heavily changed and adjusted and going back to the very start, but just in the worst scenario, that they could’ve possibly created.

Yes, Chair somehow found their way back, and it’s okay, even though I’m kinda mad about this ,too, but I’ll tell you later why I am. This should be a good thing in first place, but somehow to me.. it isn’t.
Now this goes out to all the Dair Fans: I’m really sorry for you guys and I feel your pain. Yes, I as a Chair shipper say such things, because I know how you feel. Your ship was misused and abused as a kind of a bridge to “destroy” a friendship in a way and to reunite old lovers from the past. You know, this happened to me before. With Serenate. And it sucks. So I know how you feel and I’m really sorry for you guys and I can completely understand why you’re mad and sad now, trust me.

Let’s move on to my anticipated Serenate reunion, which never happened.
I was SO SURE they’ll be together by the end of this season and we got many cute scenes between them and a fight, which usually led them to get back together in a way. See Season 1, where they fought because of Blair and their bad conscience, they ended up as friends. See Season 2 where Nate didn’t tell her about Catherine in first place and later they kissed, and also Season 2 finale where Nate defended her in front of everyone, because everyone was mad at her for wanting to find out about Gossip Girl. In Season 3 .. do I really have to explain this? Tripp, her father, everything. Season 4 .. did they actually fought in Season 4? I don’t remember because this already slightly crappy season didn’t stick in my head. Well and then.. Season 5.. they shared scenes.. interacted.. one of them has a new love interest. They fight. Usually you should think they’d end up together BUT THEY DIDN’T. REALLY?! Dear mother of god and lord yourself, WHY?!
Instead, we get a very very very bad copy of the most significant Serenate Scene every created on this show: the bar sex at the Sheppard Wedding. I was furious when I saw this, seriously. DAN? As much as I hated you before, but now I hate you even more. Not because of Derena, but because.. I thought you LOVE Blair. You told her. WHY are you sleeping with your ex? You obviously don’t have any feelings for her .. “There is no US, Serena.” .. Yeah right. I’d like to quote Nate here: “People kiss because they have feelings for each other.” .. well I’d like to change this a little bit. “People sleep with each other, either because they’re unsatisfied or they love each other.” .. So what was that with Blair then? This looks like I’m defending Dair, but right now I just have to, because I think Blair doesn’t deserve this. Sure, Serena and Nate did the same thing in Season 1 and it’s not a secret that this made me ship them, but you know the difference between those two situations is.. DAN AND SERENA ALREADY KNEW THAT THIS HAPPENED BEFORE TO BLAIR. LIKE REALLY?! Damn.. those Writers are INSANE, selling the SAME OLD STORY.. AGAIN. ALL OVER. AGAIN. Which leads me to the Chair thing I already talked about at the beginning of this post.

Look guys, I’m a Chair shipper. I really am. I love these two together, don’t get me wrong, and yes, they’re one of my OTPs. I wasn’t mad at Chuck when he told Blair that he doesn’t want to be with her on that rooftop. I understood him very well. Blair turned him down, twice, for two other men. Chuck fought for her and did some selfless shit and please don’t come up with “he’s abusive and he traded her for a hotel.” I’m aware of the fact, that he traded her for a hotel. And yes, in a way their relationship was/is abusive BUT NOT BECAUSE OF THE THINGS ONLY CHUCK DID TO HER. Look at Blair, how many times did he physically hurt him? And also now hurt him in his heart? DAMN, DON’T YOU DARE TO BLAME IT ALL ON CHUCK. Just wanted to say this once, because I always hear, Chuck is the abusive one, when clearly Blair isn’t a saint AT ALL. Back to the point I was originally going to talk about.
I’M TIRED OF THIS. I AM SO DAMN TIRED OF THIS ON AND OFF STUFF YOU HAVE NO IDEA. Seriously, I’m sick and tired of this shit and I can’t find another word for this, because it basically is SHIT. Chair pretend to don’t like each other at first, and then they fall for each other. But they split again. And then they have a little affair and find their way back. They’re together, but oh wait no, they split up again. But no, sorry my mistake, they reunite for a couple of hours, before a big reveal of a secret tears them up again. Blair meets someone new, but no wait she still loves Chuck and cheats on her new boyfriend with her old boyfriend. In the end they’re splitting up AGAIN and Chuck lets her go and tries to move on and Blair wants to marry Louis but NO WAIT they can’t really let go of each other and then they’re reuniting but oh wait they have a car crash and Blair changes her mind again and still wants to marry Louis and Chuck keeps fighting but Blair keeps denying and then all of the sudden Blair is in love with Dan BUT NO WAIT she can’t say “I love you” to Dan because she still loves Chuck, but she’s still in a relationship with Dan and then all of the sudden she decides to go back to Chuck because SHE LOVES HIM and then Chuck doesn’t “want” her in that moment and everyone is mad because that’s all they’ve been waiting for………. REALLY?
I’M SICK OF IT UGH.

I don’t care with who the hell Blair or Chuck end up together with, as long as they’re happy. Really, the writers should just stop with this shit.

And I really hope for the writers, that they write a script, where Nate saves Serena from her old behaviours and that it ends with NJBC happy end.

.. but I’m not losing hope, that it’ll be the same with Nate & Lola as it was with Nate & Vanessa. Going on a trip, fight, break-up .. everything is good between Serena and Nate and then TIME JUMP and they’ll get married and have beautiful babies and yes. I’m not giving up yet. The day I give up about my theory is the day this show ends, but in my head it’ll always be Serenate anyway.

For being there for each other in the toughest times for our ship.

And even if our ship ever sinks, I’ll be by your side, because I know you’re with me.

I just wanted to say this, because I see all this love in the Serenate-Tag and on my dashboard and I think this is fascinating.
